Actor/Artist Sites
Tyce Diorio - Choreographer
Tyce is most well known from the FOX hit show "So You Think You Can Dance", where his choreography has been featured for the last 4 years.
He chose the homepage photo himself, and I used a different photo as the background for each internal page. |

Amanda Rose - Actor/Singer/Dancer
Amanda
recently made her Broadway debut in Wicked, where she understudies "Nessarose".
She had a lot of great production photos, so I decided to feature one production on the heading of each page. She also wanted it "simple and classy", so I stuck with simple rollover animation on the buttons and the small rose in the corner on each page. |
Jesse
JP Johnson - Actor/Singer
Jesse
recently made his Broadway debut as "Jack" in Glory Days, and before that, he was "Luke" in Altar Boyz Off-Broadway and on tour.
I
chose an action shot for the homepage because I felt like
it suited his personality more. Same goes for the unusual
font. I
based the color scheme off that photo too. |

Brad
Heikes - Actor/Singer
Brad
just finished Roundabout Theatre Company's production
of Pygmalion on Broadway.
He
wanted an inviting, warm, and easily accessible site. So
I chose a simple color palette to match his blue eyes and
welcoming smile. I kept a faded picture of this opening
shot as the background for all of the inside pages as well. |
Michael Pizzi - actor
& wellness lifestyle coach
Michael is an actor, singer, performer, as well as a Wellness Lifestyle coach, and he wanted a dual-purpose site that would showcase his acting portfolio and offer his lifestyle coaching services at the same time.
I split the site into two different layouts, but with similar color schemes and palettes. Both halves of the site are easily accessable from the top taskbar at any time.

Sarah
Shahinian - Actress/Singer
This is my own performer site, so I
wanted to keep it simple. I used my signature to add
a personal touch, and I use a different photograph on each page. I often redesign elements
of this site just for fun!
|
Kevin Scott Allen - Actor
Kevin is an L.A.-based actor whose website was actually a birthday present. I was given photos and productions stills to work with for the design, and I was told that he often plays the "dark and sinewy type", which they wanted reflected in the site. For cost reasons, I was also requested to keep it to 2 pages, but include all the usual information.
This site is a wonderful example of how a lot of information can be organized compactly and give you the most bang for your buck, since I charge by the page! |

|
Scott Sowinski - Actor/Singer
Scott had a very out-of-date site that he wanted to completely re-vamp. His previous site was very busy, and he wanted the new one to be "clean, simple, and easy to navigate, but classy."
He also brought me a series of great new headshots, so I took those, along with some of his favorite colors, and created this site for him.
|
Marlo
DiCrasto -
Actress/Singer
Marlo
came to me with a very simple site she had designed herself
and just wanted to spice it up a bit, make it pop more,
so I just took some fun photos from a shoot she had done
and used them as a basis for the design. |

 |
Jared
Gertner - Actor/Singer
Jared
is currently starring as "William
Barfee" in the Broadway production of The 25th
Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
He
wanted a very personal and basic site. I chose to use his
own handwriting for the text and give it a "school assignment" theme to accent his current
role on Broadway. He also wanted a "picture box" effect
on homepage, so when you rollover the different links, the
image inside the photo corners changes.
|
Karla
Mosley - Actress/Singer
Karla
starred on a Discovery Channel children's show called Hi-5 for
several years.
She
wanted a "sunny and colorful site"
that would speak to her young fanbase, but retain a sense of
sofistication. We went through many incarnations of the design
before we came to this one. If you explore the inner pages,
each one has a polka-dot background that matches the color
of its link from the homepage, but the content keeps the youthfulness
balanced. I think we achieved her goal nicely. |

HarMaxi Productions
Diane Uniman is a writer and producer who wanted to start a website for her small production company. For now, the site is focusing mostly on her and her portfolio, but in the future, it might become more of a business site.
I took a photo she sent me of her in her favorite cafe and I played with fading out and blurring the background to accentuate the "artsy" feel. |
Massage Manhattan - the Trailer
"Massage Manhattan" is a pilot written and produced by Allyson Turner based on the true story of Manhattan's largest and most popular sensual massage company.
She wanted a site to showcase the trailer and everyone involved. I took the logo she gave me and just expanded on the theme. I think the trailer itself had enough content, so I wanted to keep the site fairly clean and simple, just the silhouetted Manhattan skyline with some carefully placed lips...

Business Sites
Council
on Litigation Management
This
is an insurance & risk management
resource website. This is probably the most complicated site
I've done, simply because of all the databases and directories
involved. But the design element is very simple.
He already had a logo, so I just used
those colors and kept the site very straightforward. I used
a lot of stock photography as accent pieces, and I added a
sort of clay color on the right to give the page content some
dimension.

Dental
Experts in Boston & Hingham
Rustam
K. DeVitre & Virginia Shahinian
are a husband and wife dentist team in Massachusetts.
I was able to take a photograph of their buidling sign and extract it into a logo. And then all the colors and little design details came from that sign logo. |
Put a Quarter in the Therapy Jar
Sydney Posner and Danielle Bailey are collecting short stories for a series of books about the crazy things people do and say to other people that probably have caused years of therapy!
They wanted a fun and colorful site where they could collect information and market the upcoming book series, so that's what I gave them!

Nicole
Shahinian -
Professional Equestrian
Nicole
is a professional equestrian who relies on working with
sponsors to compete nationally and internationally in showjump
riding. She needed a site to provide contact information
and details on her horse sales and competitions.
I
took a black and white photo of her and blurred the background
and extended it to create the top theme, and I made a textured
green background to go with a lot of the other photos she
provided me, most of which were on grass.

Yoga Within
This is a site for Abbie, a private yoga instructor. She wanted it to have the peaceful, calming feeling that yoga should have. She also wanted to use photos of herself in the yoga position, instead of stock yoga images, like a lot of the sites out there, so hers would be more personal. She also came up with unique quotes to go under each photo on the individual pages.
